Ballet Comes To Levin
A rare experience for Levin residents will be the visit on November 2 of the Community Arts Service Ballet, announced in our advertising columns today. This ballet conipany's tour of the North island is arranged to enable the jsmaller centres to have the benefit of high class entertainments, which might never other- , wise appear outside the main r centres. The ballet has already had successful tours in the Auckland Province, where it was enthusiastically received by both Press and public. The company's success is largely due to the talent and skill of its ballet mistress, Miss Jonet Wilkie, soloist with the Borovansky Ballet in its New Zealand tour of 1945. Other performers with the company have been with the well-known Ballet RamI bert. Booking arrangements for this event will be advertised at a later date.'
