Big Sum Of Money Went "Down The Drain"
Brief reference to Otaki's illfated sewerage seheme was made on Wednesday night at the Otaki Borough Council's meeting when the cost of a proposed new water scheme was mentioned. "We are sti.l paying for ,a scheme from which we got nothing," commented the Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore. "The scheme was estimated to cost £14,000. When we finish paying we will have paid £24,000."
