Hunter, said that the doctors will co-operate in a modified free medical scheme if they ma'y write preseriptions on their own forms. Commenting on the amended scheme proposed by the Labour Party eaucus, he said that the Association had submitted that tlie proposal to tlie Minister of Health (Senator McKenna) at the first conference on free medicine jn 194T and that the doctors would cooperate mainly because of the costliness: of life-saving drugs. ■'
