Urgent Work Necessary On Water Supply

Certain immediate work was necessary to safsguard the water supply pending the completion of the whole proposed improvement scheme, said a. letter from the Medical Oflicer of Health received at Wednesday night's meeting of the Otaki Borough Council. The letter offered assistance in procuring concrete piping on urgent sanitary grounds and said that the installation of a proper chlorinator should be proceeded with without delay. It was decided to thank the Medical Officer for his offer of assistance, and to advise him of the length of pipe needed. It was further agreed that the Council ask the Medical Officer to recommend a suitable type of chlorinator, and that same be purchased immediately.
