WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. The Governor-General, who is ehairman of the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board, issued board members a " onto of caution" today in regard to expenditnre for the comlng year. Cash payments wonld be made during the coining year in eoniieetion with new servicemen's homes at Christchurch and Three Ivings and tlle establishment of the communal war veterans ' village at Okoroire. His Excellency congratulated board members on "what has been achieved during the past j-ear ' ' and thanked the board 's sub-committees fof the ' ' tremendous ' ' progress they had made. Iie said he had recently glanced through the minutes of the previous year's annual meeting and he had found that all projects undertaken at that time were now well in hand. However, future expenditures on projects during the year would eost the board "a lot of money. ' ;
