Extra Goal For Men Who Escaped

WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. Two prisoners who escaped from Mount Crawford gaol by boat and were evontually recaptured in the Wairarapa district, each received an additiohal sentence from the Chief Justice, Sir Humphrey O'Leary, today. They Were Robert Bernard Howe, motor driver, aged 28, and Oliver James Reece Bull, labourer, aged 2,5. It was stated that they had escaped at 4 o'clock one morning while on kitehen duty and that a large number of poliee had been engaged in searching for them for two days. Each was sentenced to four months' hard labour to be added to the term already being served.
