Levin Lady Golfers Retain Takapu Cup
The Levin Ladies' Golf Club retains the Takapu Cup this season. The flnal round, played between Levin and Buckley, resulted in a wm for the former by 14 poinis to two. Individual results were as follows, Levin players being mentioned first in each instance: — Miss Herrick halved with Miss Siern, Mrs. H. Black halved with Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Nicholson beat Mrs. Moynihan, Mrs. Frederikson beat Mrs. Stern, Mrs. Wilicox beat Mrs. Ciough, Mrs. Ciarke beat Mrs. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Travers beat Mrs. Wishart, Mrs. Bertram beat Mrs. Hunter. In the senior championship, played during the weekend over 36 holes, Mrs. Hastedt beat Mrs. Franklin two and one. The standard of golf played by both contestants was high an-d the galiery was kept in suspense until the 35th hole. The flnal of the Park Rose Bowl * competition saw Mrs. H. Black beat Mrs. Richards on the 18th green. Club members will extend their congratulations to the winners and runners-up of these competitions. Miss Herrick and Mrs. Dickinson are to play off in the flnal of the junior championship. In the L.G.U. medal round played last week, Mrs. Frederikson w7on on the count back from Miss Fox. Both players returned cards of 103, 29—74.
