On The Range At Hautere
The Hautere Defence Rifle Club held a practise shoot on Saturday over 500 and 600 yards. Conditions were rough, wtih rain at times. H. A. Lumsden scored the highest off the rifle with 96. Scores were: — H. A. Lumsden 47 — 49 — 96, F. Freeman 47 — 44 — 91, E. Doyle 46—44—90, L. E. Monk 44 — 44 — 88, F. H. Monk 43—44—87, B. F. Monk 46—42 — 88, R. Monk 43 — 43 — 86, N. Monk 45—39—84, J. Ashworth 44 — 39 — 83, J. Clark 41 — 37 — 78, R. J. Meagher 41 — 37— 78, B. Geange 42 — 35 — 77, B. Nicholls 32 — 33 — 65, D. Ashworth 32 — 30 — 62 and J. Ballentine 35— 24—59.
