New Parking Angle Will Aid Motorists

'Improved visibility when backing out and easier manoeuvring has resulted from a new system of marking the vehicle parking bays in Oxford Street. The work was carri'ed out by the Levin Borough Council staff yesterday under the supervision of the dis-^ triet traffic inspector, Mr. W/ Boyes. The improvement has resulted in the alteration of the angle from 60 degrees to 45 degrees. The change over was made on the suggestion of the inspector in a recent report to the council, and as a result the danger of acci4ents when hacking vehicles out , of the bays should he minimised. The inspector s&id yesterday that motorists must park between the lines and not over them, as was the case in some instances yesterday.
