New Labour Candidates Chosen

WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. Three new Labour candidates for tne General Elections were announced today, bringing the total selected to date to 78. The outstanding seats are Wallace and Western Maori. The new candidates are:— Waikato: J. K. Burfitt, an Auckland builder who contested the Mt. Albert mayoralty at the last municipal elections. He is 35 years of age. Franklin: John Parsons, of Otahunu, who resides in Onehunga and is 41 years of age. Hauraki: Percival Peacock, a 47-year-old Pokeno farmer and formerly a businessman at Mangatawhiri. He also is a partner in a bookselling lirm in Tauranga.
