AUCKlInD, Oct. 5. There were average yardings of beef, sheep, and lainbs at Westfield. Ready demand was shown for beef, with values firm. Sheep sold at late quotations. Spring larabs realised from £2 to £2 15s 3d. Pork prices remained firm and there was an increase in bacon prices. Cattle. — Extra choiee ox, to £3 3s a 1001b; choice and prime, £2 17s to £3 2s j extra prime young cow and heifer, to £3; choiee and prime, £2 16s to £2 19s; extra heavy prime steers, £27 to £30; heavy, £24 toc £26 10s; medium, £21 to £23 17s 6d; extra heavy prime cow and heifer, £17 10s to £18 10s; heavy prime cow, £16 to £17 5s; medium, £13 to £15 17s 6d. Sheep. — Extra heavy prime wethers, £2 8s to £2 9s 6d; heavy, £2 5s to £2 7s 9d;. medium, £2 3s. to £2 4s 9d: extra heavy prime young and maiden ewes, £1 16s to £2 2s; lighter, £1 9s to £1 12s 6d. Lambs. — Extra prime, £2 9s to £2 15s; heavy, £2 5s to £2 8s; medium, £2 ls to £2 4s.
