ReceivecF Friday, 10.20 a.m. OTTAWA, Oct. 6. Albert Guay, a Quebec jeweller, ' was committed, for trial on a charge of murdering his wife* by 'dynamiting the airliner whereon she was a passenger. All 23 passengers and members of the crew were killed when the airliner crashed on September 9. The Crown, in a surprise move today in the courtt at Quebec hearing the ease, rested its ease without . calling. further witnesses, and the Judge ordered Guay to stand trial. ... The ease will come before the Criminal Assizes on OctobeT 11. The Prosecutor said he hoped to go ahead with the* trial on November 7. ♦ Mrs. Arbhur Pitre testified that she had bought dynamite for Guay. She bought the 'dynamite in August at his request. On September 9, she said he gaye her a parcel to take to the Quebec Airport. • She said that after the airliner crashed, killing all 23 aboard, Guay told her the police^ were looking for a myscerious- woman who took a parcel to the a,irp6rt. He advised her to disappear and leave a note saying she was dead. Lucien Garreau said that Guay had offered him 500 dollars if he would poison Mrs. Guay. Garreau safd 'he refused, and Guay then offered him 50 dollars to\ "keep his mouth shut." Lucille Levesque, of Canadian Pacific Airlines, said she sold Guay the ticket for his wife and a 10,000-dollar flight insurance policy with himself as the beneficiary. Mr. S. C. Lynn, a chemical engineer, said from analysis of bits of the wreckage of the airliner it was obvious- that there had been a dynamite explosion., .
