Levin Club Holds Season's Final Competition The Levin Miniature Rifie Club's championship and* handicap cup competitions were decided at the 22nd and last competition shoot of the season, held on Monday evening. The final of the championship promised to be full of interest with three contenders hard after the title, and P. L. Humphrey emerged with the honours by ai 2.4 margin from A. T. Fletcher and E. Lacey. In the handicap snoot Mrs. E. Lacey was successful, winning by a substantial margin from G. Pescini and P. L. Humphrey,- who were together in second place, with Mrs. J. K. Knight, B. Penny and R. Close third (equal). Women members will sponsor the shoot next Monday evening, when the presentation of trophies will also be made. During the evening every member is to be included in a team's shoot, and clut officials ask all members to make a point of attending this finai meeting. The usual practice shoot, and also a teams shoot, will be held on Monday night. The sweep winners were F. Lang and J. K. Knight. bcores were: — R. Cole 99.6, PL. Humphrey 99.5, Mrs. E. Lacey 99.5, J. Although several good scores were recorded during the Poroutawhao shoot this week, general averages showed a slight drop Many members were experimenting with sights during the shoot. and it is to this factor that the low sooring may be attributed.
