SHANNON CATTLE FAIR
There was a fairly light yarding in comparison with previous years at the ^ Shannon cattle fair this week. * Prices for gro-wn cattle were up to recent values in out-' side centres, but young cattle were harder to quit. The following is the range of prices : — Three-year Shorthorn cross steers, £15 12s 6d; two-year P.A. steers, £12 to £12 10s; yearling P.A. steers (small), £9; yearling P.A. heifers, £7 13s; good 1 conditioned empty two-year P.A. heifers £11 15s; P.A. cows, r.w.b., £10 10s to £11 17s 6d; empty P.A. cows, small and low conditioned, ,£9; yearling Jersey heifers, £8 17s 6d to £10 14s; store cows, exdairy, £4 to £8 7s; fat 'cows, exdairy, £9 to £10 5s.
