Seventy Houses Being Built In Levin

Work began on the erection of nine dwellings in Levin during September, reported the building inspector, Mr. H. T. Tilyard, to Monday nig-ht's meeting of the Levin Borough Council. The number of -dwelling completed totalled 15. The number of uncompleted dwellings in the borough now ottals 70. Permits were issue'd during the month 'for the erection of 10 private dwellings to the value of £17,350. The following were the number of permits issued for the quarter ended Sepoember 30, and their value, with the figures for the same period of last year being shown in parentheses: — Private •dwellings, 46 (58), £83,308 (£97188); other buildings, 8 (6), £4448 (£1917).
