1 DUNEDIN, Oct. 4. No arrest has yet been made in the Moa Creek murder ease. It is now a W.eek since William Fraser Melntosn was murdered in histown woolshed little more than 50 yards from his home. Since then-mqre than 20 members oi the poliee foree have been making: widespread inquiries but so far withouC definite result. In the past two days the search for the weapon used in tue orutal atack on Mclntosh has been mtensified. The police have been draxning several ponds that dot the vaiiey in which the Mclntosh farm is situatea. Their search has co.vered a circle of eight miles radius from the farm. An office has been established by poiice ar Moa Creek and typewriters have been in almost continuous use typing oui scores of statements taken in the discrict. The oflice is well equipped for work but the telephone service has uot always beeu capaOle of handliug the cremeudous increase in traflic in the past week. While it would appear that the police are concentrating tneir elforts in the Moa Creek district, they have travelled considerable distances in almost every direetion following various lines of mquiry. The search for the man who, n vas stated, called at the Mclntosh farm on the afternoon of the murder, has oeen steadily pursued.
