Appeal To Beautify Levin Poorly Supported

The Levin and District Beautifying Spciety's annual street day notted £32 10s when it was held on Friday. The result was dlsaf^>oihting to the society considefing the 'Worthiness of the object. PerhaRs it was that the ayerage citizen did not realise what the sqciety does to " enhari.ee the riatural attractions of tpwp ahd the close watch it keeps over the. beauty spqts. Meqibers of tHe organisation are coristantly active and although the resiilts are not often " neadline news,'it is well to remember that thq good work goes on throughout the. year. Next time citizens" hear gratifying remarks from the travelling public concernlhg Leyin^s pleasing appearance, give tliqught to the beautifying society and rqake a pfomise. tq support it financially at its next street day.
