U.S. SHIPS RUN NATIONALIST BLOCKADE

'Received Tuesday, 9,45 a.m. HONG KONG, Oct. 3. The Ameriean freighter Flying Trader arrived at Shanghai today with 3500 tons of cargo from Hong Kong after being held up by a Nationalist warship at 'the mouth of the Yangtze for more than 72 hours. With 'her outward bloekade runner sister ships, Flying Independent and Flying Clipper, she is believed to have dashed in when the warship escorted the other two Ameriean vessels to the •blockade base in the Chusan Islan'ds. Captadn T. McCabe, master of the British-registered steamer Leong Bee, which returned to Hong Kong tonight from the Chusan islands, where she was detained by the Nationalists for "blockade ruhning," told pressmen that the ship was accused of working for the Chinese Communists by supplying them with food. The captain said he was questioned for hours by a board of inquiry, but the board eventually accepted his denial of the accusation.
