Received Tuesday, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 3. Britain -will discuss with Conmonwealth and "other interested Powers" the Chinese Communist request for recognition as a Government,- said a Foreign Office spokesman today. Asked whoi the other intereste'd Powers would be, he replied : "I think some of the signatories of the Atlantic Treaty." An Ottawa message reports that the Oanadian Cabinet discussed the Chinese situation with Britain in the light of Russia's recognition of the Ohinese Communist Government. The British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Ernest Bevin, discussed the matter with Cabinet after a meeting alone with the Prime Minister, Mr. Louis St. Laurent. What Of U.N. Seats? In Canton today, the Chinese Nationalist Government decided at a Cabinet meeting to sever relations with Soviet Russia. The Foreign Minister, Mr. George Yeh, told the meeting that following its recognition of the Communist regime in China, Russia would prob-a-bly propose that the seats in the United Nations be for the Chinese reds instead of the Nationalists, but he thought this proposal woul'd not be accepted.
