As tfie result of tfie functig.n many old acqualntafices .were repewed and a . number qf new members enlisted by the association. Mr. J. H, Mnngavin was tfie M.C. . The president of tfie association, % Mr. L. R. Salmons, welcomed mem-/ " bers and guests and expressed tfie hope that all would have an enjoyable evening. He also appealed * AOP greater memberghip in order to * make tfie association a firmly established onq in tfie commuhity. V The president of the Wellington Early Settlers' Association, Professor F. P, Wfison, also spoke, emphasising- tfie responsibilities of , the youth of today an-d extending the best wisheg of the Wellington early settlers to the Levin association. On behalf of the early settlers of Levin, Mr, E. M. Ryder thanked the association - for organising the function, expressing the hope that everyone would join. During the evening items were given by Mesdames G. Hesp and Hair and Mr, D. Rikihatia, Mr. . . H. Varriham played extras during supper. *
