Italy Asks for Freedom for Tripolitania
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. NEW«YORK, Oct. 1. Italy asked United Nations today to grant independenee to Tripolitania once the most important of her North African colonies. The Itatian Foreign Minister Count Sforza, invited to express Italy 's views before the politieal committee, proposed, firstly, the independenee of Cyrenaiea, Tripolitania and Fezzan with an eventual federal union of all three; secondly, elections for a Constitnent Assembly in Tripolitania within six months; thirdly, a controi commission for Tripolitania including an Italian mepaber; fourthly, independenee for Eritrea; -fifthly, - continneo Italian development of Italian Somaljland, The commitffee adjourned till Monday.
