The Chinese Consul, Mr. Wang Feng, will give a broadcast over all national stations bn October 5 and he has sent the following message to the girl guides: "I offer my congratulations to the girl guides of New Zealand for the work they have done in the past and which they are continuing to do in the service of the people. I am particularly impressed by the interest they have taken in the post war relief task of China and by the decision they made to give help to such a task. The spirit of brotherhoad which animates such action is indeed in'dispensable in the building of peace and in the promotion of common prosperity 1 among the peoples of the world.
