WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. The New Zealand Boxing Association 's annual conference today appointed Mr E. Meale, of Wellington, manager of the New Zealand team for the Empire Games at Auckland. It was also announced that the council had nomin-

ated Mr E. S. Glendinning, Dunedin, as manager of the full New Zealand team. The selectors would earefully assess the merits of any boxer whose form or past history warranted consideration for selectiou for the Empire Games, Mr G. Watehorn (Palmerston North) told the conference. He was replying to questio.ns as to whether certain boxers who were not medically fit for the present ehampionships, would be eligible for selection. Those mentioned were Maurice Tuck, New Zealand middleweight champion, E. Goslin, New Zealand Olympic Games representative, and G. Davy who won the Wanganui title.
