TWO AMERICANS FREED FROM RUSSIAN DUNGEONS
Received Thursday, 9 a.m. BERLIN, Sept. ^28. Two young American cyclists who were released today by the Russians after unknowingly crossing '.nto the "Soviet zone two months ago said tliat" they were held in ungergrOund punishment cells for 18 days because, in protest against insufficient food, one of them broke a door. The students said they went into a cafe after entering the Soviet zone. Police immediately arxested therh and took them before Soviet officials, who questioned them about Allied military movements. They were then taken to Schwein and interrogated " in dungeons. Afterwards they were removed to Magdeburg and put in separate Cells. The food at times was very bad.
