Stabbed To Death By Chinese

SUYA, Sopt. 26. Found guilty of tlie murder of William Thomas Allen, a member of the staff of the British Phosphate Commission, Ocean Island, on April 26, a Chinese named Tai Rhek was sentenced to death at Suva today, after a vveek long trial. Allen was stabbed to death in a bedroom. The present trial did not relate to the death of Mrs. Allen who ► was similarly murdered in a living room. In summing up, however, the .1 udge said it was possible that Ylrs. Allen was a witness of lier husband's murder and could have been pursued and killed while endeavouring to tolephone for help.
