Record Auckland-Gisborne Flight

GISBORNE, Sept. 27. Blown like a chip before a stiff northerly breeze, a Tiger Moth aircraft with two Auckland Aero Club members, Messrs T. D. Faithful and N. S. McQuilkin, made what is claimed to be a record journey yesterday. From take off to touch down the ffight occupied 1 hr 40 mins., the "average being close to 140 m.p.h. for the 230niile journey.
