Football Club's Trophies Presented
The Athletic Football Club recognised indjvidual effort and sportsmanship among members of its teams by the presentation of trophies at a grand social function in St. Mary's Hall, Levin, on Saturday night at which there was a large attendance. M.C. for the evening was Mr. D. Collier, who kept a good dance programme running smoothly, music being supplied by a pianist, Mrs. Green. At a siiitable juncture, the president of the club, Mr. H. Rippin, presented trophies . won and congratulated the recipients on their efforts. They were as follows: — Dress, attendance at practices and general ability: R. Bignal (third grade) ; best sport and player in the senior team: N. Taylor; best sport and player in the junior team: C. Gwynn; best sport and player in the third grade team: P. Frederikson; best sportsman in the ^ub: G. Fraser. SaLurday's function marked the end of the series of popular dances and socials held bv the club during the season. The club .is now preparing for its well-known annual event, the end-of-season field day. ^ _
