Weraroa Tennis Club's New Officers
The annual meeting of th.e Weraroa Anglican Tennis Club was held in the- Weraroa Hall this week with an attendance of 20. The president, Mr, P, Pey. in his report, stated that the club now had "three courts- ready for play, two of which had been topdressed. It was proposed that a working bee should prepare the grounds on September '24 for the opening day on Saturday, October 15. * Officers elected for the season were: — President: Mr. P. Dey (reelected) ; club captain: ivir'. ELyons (re-elected) ; vice-captain: Mr. S, Sharpe; secretary and treasurer: Mr. J. Whhe ; committee: Mesdames Slrarpe, Wade, Barclay and Dey and Messrs. D. White, Les Palmer, L. C. Palmer and L. Leger. The subscriptions for fhe year were set at men 25s, ladies £1 and juniors 10s, a reduction on fast yem .... -i —j
