Beautifying Society's Plan For Triangle
. , - 1 \ ■ v 1 - A suggested layout for the triang e ressrye at the corner of Balh •and Cambridge Streets was decide'd • on at a meeting of the Levin Beautifying Society this week. Rose gardens are the principal mOtif of the plan, which will now be fprwarded to the Levin Borough Council for its consideration. The plan was the outcome of a letter from the council inviting the society to submit its ideas for •the beautifipation of the triangle. • • Preparations were made for the society's annual street day on September 3V0, The hope was expressed that citizens of Levin would generously support the appeal and thus assist in the beautification of the town. It was resolved to write to the borough council asking that steps be taken to have the plantation of rhododendrons and totaras in Cambridge Street cleaned up and cared for.
