Borough Council Matters
"UNITED WE STAND."
(To the Editor) Sir, — After reading the report of the iast meeting of the Otaki Borough Council I am led to sug- ' gest that in future the borough should be divided with a councillor for each portion. If this was 1 done the present injustice and squabbies womd vanish and all woui'd be given fairer treatment. At present Otaki Railway is neglected and the beach gets too much' of the rates expended there. 1 The Railway is neglected very badiy. 1,ot Regarding the memorial hall, the ratepayers provided the funds so why not let them vote on the sites offering as they will have to-pay for its upkeep? Stop the bickering and give all a fair deal and Otaki will boom. Forget seif and Otaki must progress. Yours, ptp.
Otaki, Sept. 20.
