Ritchie retires on superannuation after mqre thau 42 yeafs' service *\vith the department. This salary is £800 more than has ! previously been paid to the head Ot i the Health Department. There ha? been" eonsiderable comment recently on the difference between the salaries^in. the Public Service and the earnings out.side, and the new salary off'ered for this position represents a markqd change in policy.
