DUNEDIN, Sept. 22. Twenty-five years ago yesterday, the first radio contact was made between New Zealand and United States when Mr. Frank Bell, Shag Valley, -Otago, spoke to Carl Reidr man, Long Beach, California. Otago amateur transmitters, during September and October,' 1924, also established N-ew • Zeaiand's first radio contact with . Argentina, England and France. The New Zealan-d Radio Transmitters' Association will hold a function in Dunedin on October 28 to celebrate the anniversary.
