WELLINGTON, Sept. 20; Promotions and transfei'3 in the police force announced -.tonight are: Sub-Inspector W. Kane, Masterton, has been transferred to Greymouth and promoted in Inspector. Inspector M. J. Angland, Greymouth, has been transferred to Nelson. Senior-Sergeant J. Southworth, Auckland, has been transferred to Wellington and promoted to Sub-Inspector. Kub-luspector J.' Edwards, Wellington, has been transferred to Masterton. Senior-S!hrgeant' H. F. Coddington, Hamilton, has been transferred to Wellington. Constable C. W. Bowley, Island Bay, has been transferred to Wellington •Central and promoted to Sergeant. Constable J. Henderson, of Wellington Central, lias t been promoted to Sergeant.
