Rumours of Engagement Of Marquess
Eeceived Tuesdav 7 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 20. Tieports are circulating in both London and Washington that the engagement of the 30 year old Marqness of Milfordhaven to Mrs Bomaine Simpson, aged 27, of New York, wTill shortly be formally announced. The couple have already had their photograpli taken by Baron, the Court photographer, and Baron 's secretarv^ wlien asked by nowspapers for copies of the photograph, said they would be released when the engagement became official. The Marque=s was best man to the Duke of Edlnbnrgli at his wedding to Princess Elizabeth. He is a jgreat grandson of Queen Victoria. His name was linked last year with that of Princess Margaret and later with that of Miss Sharman Douglas, daughter of Mr Lewis Douglas, Ameriean Ambassador in London. Mrs Simpson, who is at present staying at Olaridge's, was divoreed at Keuo two years ago.
