The Australian welterweight, George Kapeen,, beat the New Zealand lightweight ehampion, Percy Kelly, on a technical knockout in the sixth round of a seheduled 10-round cateh weight contest in the Town Hall tonight. At , 20,. Kapeen was 12 years younger than Kelly. At 10.44 he had a weight advantage of 9ilb. He was taller and had the advantage in reach. Kelly 's left eye was badly gashed in the fourth and at the end of the sixth round a doctor ruled him unfit to continue. The Fijian Indian, Francis Joseph, scored his fourth win in five fights in 1 New Zealand by knocking out Phil Adam, of Wanganui, in the first of a seheduled six-round bout. Joseph weighed 10.7 and Adam 10.6.
