Distribution Of German Reparations
Received- Mondav, 7 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 19. The Associated Press Bureau correapondent says the Military Government's report for .Tulv, whieh was re-Iea-sed today, stated that the United States Zone of Germany had deliverefi nearly £12,500,000 worth of reparations materials to 18 Allied nations sine.e the. cnd of the war. More than half of this amormt went to eounfries hehind the iron curtain — Russia, Gzechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Poland and Albania. The reparations were in the form of machinery from 183 "war potential " factories in the United States Zone. Othqr reparations are being divided among the Allies from 418 plants in the British Zone and 140 in the French Zone. The most valuable reparations were taken from the British Zone whieh inclndes the Rnhr Valley. Of the total amount of reparations, material worth more than £2,250,0'00 went to Russia. Allied nations whieh also shared ineluded New Zealand, AnatTalia, Tndia and PaMstan. i _
