Picture Benefit Helps Levin School Jubilee

Levin ..Prlmary School's jubi'lee fpnds benefited to -the extent •' of ■ approximately , £50 as the result of last week's picture benefit, this being the school's propprtion of the 'gross takings/ . -The jubilee committee wishes to thank. all those who purchased tickets from' the children and also tHe children who sold the. tickets. The management and proprietors of United Theatres, Ltd., are also thanked for this valuable contritribution to the jubilee funds. : The stock drive is still proceeding and further donations of stock are sought. The plans for the jubilee are attracting widespread interest and letters are being received, . from • ail ' parts of New Zealand notifying the intentioh of oast pupils to attend the functions.. As there has been only the pne Btace primary school in Levin there are naturally a great many persons who have passed through it, many more than in an individual school in any city. Consequeiitly, it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance at the jubilee functions next year. The committee is .also anxious to have the names and addresses of local ex-pupils wishing to at«en'd.
