Visit Of French Sloop To Auckland

AUCKLAND, Sept. 15. All the formal courtesies which inark the visit of a foreign warsliip to a British port, will be observed wlien the French sloop Francis Garnier arrives at Auckland oii Monday.- Comnianded by Capitaine de Fregate Piehevin, the sloop is to .proceed to Tahiti on Fridav. When the Francis Garnier leaves she will carry the body of the Free French aviator Capitaine de Corvette Gilbert, who was ldllcd in a flying aecident in Auckland in June, 1942. Permission has been given for the body to be exhumed on Wednesday.
