Wolf Bites Fifty People In Persian Town
Received Fridav, 10.15 a.m. TEHERAN, Sept. 16. A wolf came to Gorgan. a towm in nortbeast Persia, and began to attack the inliabitants. It bit 50 persons — 35 of them gendarmes in a barracks — before being killed. The gendarmes, unable to fire their rifles without previous orders, defended themselves as best they eould with bavonets. AH 50 victims have been brought to Teheran for anti-rabies treatment. Fifteen are in hospital, two being dangerously ill.
