LONDON, Sept. 15. Whitehall continues to deny that Britain has any intention of devaluing the pound sterling, although there have been reports from Australia that the British Cabinet has already decided on devaluation and that the only things to be settled are its extent and timing.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Stafford Cripps, returns from Washington tomorrow and will probably report privately to the Prime Minister, Mr. Attlee, during the weekend on the results of the financial talks.

Sir Stafford will hold a Press conference on Monday at which he will discuss the results of the Washington talks. iReuter . says it is not expected that Sir Stafford will make an announcement on devaluation.
