Two Keen Games In Ladies' Golf Championship

Two keenly-contested games have been played in the Levin Golf Club's ladies' junior championship. Miss Herrick defea'ted Mrs. Ryder on*the 20th green and Mrs. Nicholson beat Mrs. J. Black on the 21st. The competition has now reached the semi-finals, in which Mrs. Dickinson plays Mrs. Nicholson and Mrs. Richards plays Miss Herrick. The winner of the extra L.G.U. medal round played by the ladies' section last week was Mrs. Hastedt with a card of 84 — 11 — 73. In the final of the Aratangata Cup competition, played last weekend, Mrs, Franklin beat Mrs Richards . by a narrow margin. Club members will extend their congratulations to both the winner and runner-up. This week the fourth L.G.U. medal round will be played, commencing at 1.15 p.m. sharp.
