Athletic Softball Club's Annual Meeting
The annual general meeting of the Athletic Softbail i Club was held recently, when the officers for the new season were elected. The annual report showed the cdub to have had a most successful year. In its field activities it had been runner-up in the championship, an excellent effort for its first season. Runs scored in championship games totalled 247 for and 102 against. Ten friendly games were .aleo arranged which' inciuded a visit to Wanganui. - The club membership totalled 31, it was reported, 15 of these taking part in association games, the balance being honorary members. During the season four members had been selected as representatives, while A. Fletcher, a first year member, had gained North Island representation. The club had held a picinc for members and football frien'ds during the season, the functiori being a great success.
