Show Committees Appointed By A. & P. Association

A meeting of' the general committee of the Horowhenua Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held recently, J Mr. J. AKilsby presiding. Mr. Kilsby advised that £500 had been invesced in National Savings, this «■ action being confirmed by the meeting. The Manawata Hunt Club wrote forward'ing a donation of £10. The secretary, Mr. J. E. Fullarton, was instructed to write thanking the club for its contribution. During the evening the various committees were set up in preparation for the forthcoming show, and the chairman asked that meetings be held as soon as possible and that each committee nominate at least two judges. The commLtees were appointed as follows: — Horses: Messrs J. Blenkhorn (convener) , V. Bird, ' J. J. Procter, K. Kirkcaldie, D. C. Blake, J. H. Mungavin and S. W. Barber. Cattle: Messrs H. J. Lancaster (convener), G. .C. Knight, M. Rolston, C. E. C. Webb, L. G. Bismark, C. H. Arcus, P. R. Catley, F. O. Malcolm, K. Knight, A. M. Scott, R. W. Eyans, R. L.. Robinson, L. Court ahd W. S. Long. Sheep: Messrs J. Gimblett (convener), Rex. Mexted, J. Hopkins, J. H. Mungavin, C. Adkin, J. H. Siaples, .G. H. Weggery, A. R. Mac-. Farlane, W. Munford, J. Lucas and H. J. Kilsby. Pigs: Messrs C. E. Ram fair: Messrs A. R. MacFarlane (convener) , J. H. Staples, J. Gimblett, J. A. Kilsby, H. J. Lancaster, K. Knight, Rex Mexted, G. W. Munford, J. H. Mungavin, H. J. Kilsby and A. Sievers. The appointment of a grounds committee was held over until the next meeting and the home industries committee was referfed to the ladies committee for action. The foilowing special committee was set up for the alteration of the rules: Messrs J. A. Kilsby, H. J. Lancaster, R. "L. Robinson, F. O. Malcolm, C. E. C. Webb, W. S. Long, J. Blenkhorn and A. R. MacFarlane.
