Baby Born in Service Car

- . AUCKLAND, Sept. 7. A baby was bom in a service car on the National Park-Taupo route about ten miles from the Chateau at 9 o'clock this morning. The mother, ' Mrs. Olive Gibbons, wife of Mr. Frank Gibbons, ' of Onehimga, was travelling from the Chateau to Wairakei with her 11-year-oldl daughter. Two young women passengers, assisted by the driver, Mr. Charles Russell, took charge. A Taumarunui doctor who had pulled up hehind the service car, took Mrs. Gibbons and the baby to the Tokaanu-Taupo district nurse who took them to Taupo. There the Rotorua ambulance met the party and took the mother and child to the Rotorua Hospital.. Both are well. The baby was 'a 6£ lb boy.
