Carrick Leads Billiards Final

WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Maintaining the consistent form he has shown throughout, R. Carrick (Auckland) gained a commanding lead of 288 points over A. Twohill (West Coast) tonight when the first session of 750 points of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship final was played. With his characteristic delieate touch Carrick early got the strength of the table and gave a brilliant exhibition of positional play. His best break was 115. Twohill 's best break was 59.
