WELLINGTON, aept. 2. The removal -from office of Messrs H. Barnes and T. Hill as members of the Waterfront Industry Authority "hecause of their misconduct while members of that authority," was an- 1 nounced tonight hy the Minister of Labour (Hon. A. McLagan). Their removal has effeet as from today. "The New z,ealand Waterside Workers' Union has been informed that because- of this misconduct the romoved members will no longer be deemed to be eligible -H'or membership of tlie Waterfront Ihdustrv Authority or of the Waterfront Industrv Coiumission, " said the Minister. "The Government has given consideration to the request of tlie national executive of the New "Zealand Waterside Workers' Fnion for ihe calling togetlier of the Waterfront tndustrv Authority.
