WELLINGTON, vSept. 1. It was antieipated that definite action would be taken in the coming year to implem'ent the reeommendations of the British authority, Sir Reginald Strc.dling, for the estahilshment of a building research station, stated the Minister of Scientific and Industria> Research, Mr. McCombs, in the annual report of his Department presented to Parliament today. The building research contmittee ot the Council of Srientific and Tn^ustrial Research, in its. section of the reporfj stated that it was hoped to make an appointnient in the^ ensuing year of a Director of Building Research. Such an appointnient was essential in order that a more positive approach could be made to problems which were arising.
