— ♦ The August meeting of the Tasman Beach Wpmen's Institute was held recentiy in the Beach Hall with Mrs. J. H. McConville presiding over a fair attendance. Birthday greetings were extended to Mrs. Simpson. Mesdames P. Evans and McCopviile were appointed lo re*present the instiruce at the combined meeting " to discuss the schooi. gaia day. Arrangemenrs were made for the birthday to be held in Octeber. Afternoo'n ,tea was then served by the hostesses, Mesdames R. Duncan and C. Parrant. ... - Following the interlude Mrs. White gave a very interesting demonstration on ~ toy making which. was closeiy followed by members. Miss P. Fogden and Mrs. Evans then entertained with a humorous sketch. Competition winners were Mrs. D. McCready and Miss Fogden. The Natio'nal Anthem brought the meeting to a close.
