Highland Fling has fractured a sesamoid bone of his near foreleg. The greatest bargain in the history of the sport, Highland Fling, which was purehasecl from. his breeder, Mrs. K. Bare, for £100 by Mr. A. T. ivemble, displaced the mighty galloper Gloaming (which wdn £26,202) as leading stake ; winner in 'New Zealand. Besides winning £32,720. in stakes, Highland Fling won numerous trophies ineluding two New Zealand Trotting Cups. iie nlso earned nearly £2000 for exhibitions and attempts against records.
