Elliott's Good Road Cycling Performance

Last Saturday members of the Levin Cycling Club journeyed to Palmerston North to take part in ihe Palmerston North to Bulls reiurn annual road race. This year for the first time the race was ciivided into junior and senior s ctions, the junior race being run in the morning and the senioiMn ihe afternoon. Levin competitor-s in the junior race were Peter Eiliott (104 mins.) , John Tavlor (84 mins.), S. Coutts and A. Rolston (64 mins.), and O. Connoily (14 mins.). Peter Eiliott put up a good perf rniance to fmish 'second and received a cup and crystal dish as trophies. The other junior riders rode well but their handicaps were too iarge for them to finish in a place. In the seniors Don Yeates was off 61 mins., M. Harper off 54 mins. and TI. Donovan off 24 mins. H. Danovan and M. Harper put up very good perform'ances and finished 8th and 10th respectively.
